Carrot education to be made a compulsory OU foundation course. In order to gain any degree from the Open University, all students will be required to complete the course "You, your carrot and the vegetable patch", C171 .

The course will be made up of the following blocks and will have five TMAs. Naturally, the first TMA is formative and will entail a reflection on the learning experiences and online carrot conferencing group work of the first Block.

Introduction to root vegetables and the colour orange. Carrots from
the root up.
Block
2
The carrot soup conspiracy - a historical perspective.
Block
3
Turnip and beetroot studies - the lesser known root vegetables, and
their place in the development of the latter-day carrot.

4
The carrot in western society, with particular focus on Warner Bros
cartoons - a modern conceptual viewpoint.
There will be an ECA (End of Carrot Assignment), a project in which the student can opt to examine either "The modern day use and abuse of carroticus lovelium", or "The enemies of the carrot, with emphasis on vegetarians and rabbits - an exposition".
