Definition: The basic form of the minor scale, known as the harmonic minor scale used to work out chords in the minor scale Further info: Intervals are: T - S - T - T - S - (T + S) - S Taken from: Unit 6, p.79 Definition: Harmony in itself has a rhythm, moving slowly in some places, faster in others; this is called harmonic rhythm which gives a sense of onwards movement to the music, the chords do no exist as just single entities but are arranged in relation to each other. Often a chord will last for a whole bar, or at least for several beats. The technical term we use to describe this aspect of harmonization is harmonic rhythm.
