There's oodles of information to be had out there on the web... but... how much of it really was written by the Professor in Oojemewhatsit and how much was invented by a teenager in Chiswick?   Web Evaluation How can you believe what you're reading? This page from the Open University's Online Libr@ry will give you some great advice on how to evaluate sites...  
  Internet Detective Want more practice? Try this online tutorial... it might just help! You need to register... but once you've done that - you're away!!  
  The Virtual Chase Written in good accessible language this goes into some detail on tips and tricks for spotting good and bad sites. Very handy - even though its focus is primarily legal research!!  
  Finding Information on the Internet A really helpful tutorial from the University of California, Berkeley, which gives some excellent tips and advice on evaluating and searching for information on the Net
