Readers... or... little programs that let you look at stuff

You'll come across some types of files that you either don't have a program to run them, or you need a special type of program to look at them. Adobe Acrobat Reader is possibly the most common one of these... followed closely by the free viewers available from Microsoft - yes... free and Microsoft in the same sentence!!!

Bit o' software... What'll it do?
  Adobe Acrobat Reader

Download a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader from Adobe themselves... it's free and you often come across sites that need it when you're browsing the net! Adobe portable document files (pdf) can be read by anyone, without the need for a wordprocessor or other package... provided you have the Reader! So get the Reader!!
Microsoft Readers/Converters Microsoft accept that some people don't have their software installed on their computers!! And here's the place to get hold of the viewers that'll let you look at Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Access and Viso files. Follow the links once you get to the Microsoft site and all will be well!
